:::"Leave the iguanas, monitors, gex, constrictors, gators and everything else where they belong which, for the most part, isn't even on the North American continent."
Well said, Mr. D.
I can't tell you the number of times I wished I could return my iguanas back to where they really belong--a hot, humid, climate among others of their kind so they could bask all day high in a tree and eat the natural vegetation of the land. Sure, it is fulfilling to care for them as domesticated "pets", but don't think for one minute that I think this way of life is better for them, or that they're happier in human care. I think these things every time I put them in their outdoor cage and see them desperately try to get out--just for the sake of freedom. (The cage is plenty big, but they just want to be free!) I wish there was some way to stop the iguana trade and keep them where they belong. I really do. Meanwhile, Bobbit wants a snack, and needs his bath, so I have to go now.
