Around here we've pretty much come to the conclusion that it is strictly a matter of schedule. Pick a time and stick to it. We begin the day by preparing everyone's food and they usually have it by 10 a.m.. Then it's up to them as to when they want to eat but the "poop shift" starts at about 5 p.m.. Everyone here is water trained so they all make it to the tub within an hour to hour and a half of the same time everyday. These days we only have four igs hanging around and one is a newbie of less than a week so she is exempt from the "routine" just yet. The other three haven't pooped in their enclosures for over 2 months now. Personally, we don't think that the time of feeding and the time of pooping are related. But then again, we give 24 hour access to food.
This probably just made everything as clear as mud for you..;) Feel free to drop us a line if you have any further questions.
Good Luck !
