Lindsay, our enclosure is 6 x 6 x 3.5, and it fits through any door. the reason is that the frame is built out of panels which are made of 2x2 wood covered with vinyl covered hardware cloth. Although I haven't done it, I don't see why you couldn't make this type enclosure woth solid sides, plywood and plexiglass. At any rate, panels are what make it work.
