Since you're driving, I'd suggest the small investment in a power inverter for the car. You an get them most likely at something like a Radio Shack or other electronics supply place. I do know that Crutchfield carries them on-line and you can get into a single outlet version for about $40. They plug into the cigarette lighter and give you a 110 outlet to plug things like heating pads into. Larger versions can also be had - it's just a matter of how much money you want to spend. Heck you could run a small fridge off of one and keep ig food and sandwiches for you from spoiling too..;)
If you do check out www.Crutchfield.com it may be worth it to put a phone call in to them and ask a human what they carry for inverters.
