Well, we all survived day 2 and even made a tiny amount of progress at bathtime! She allowed Mr. D to pick her up to get in and out of the tub with no tail whipping!

In the next week we'll be taking her to our awesome, beloved and incredible (never hurts to kiss up a little lol) vet for a full checkup. We don't believe in starting supplementation until we've had a blood workup done on a newcomer. It is our feeling that the animal is already stressed on arrival and that introducing a bunch of changes on serves to further stress them out and tax their already overwhelmed little bodies. Not to mention the fact that we won't know what she needs without the tests.

The thing the tugs at my heart the most is what she does with her food. She eats only very tiny amounts and then seems to guard the plate by laying on it, as if we were going to take it away from her. For the past two mornings she has watched with great interest as I remove her plate, wash it and fill it with new food.

I've included a picture of the non-damaged side of her body. She really has beautiful markings and almost a complete tail! IMHO Her coloring is remarkable, especially when you consider the NutriGrow food and no UV light! I don't know if you can see in the photo but there are some issues with her feet, looks like MBD but it is the only place I can see physical signs of it. We'll know more after the trip to the vet.

Thanks again, it's nice to have people that understand the frustration of finding an iguana like this. Most people can't relate if it's not a warm and fuzzy critter.
