You can't do anything but spend time with him. If he doesn't want to be there, he won't stay (iguanas are very stubborn and when they make up there mind they want to be somewhere else--forget it!) Just enjoy his company and don't force him to stay on your shoulder-- they are not as obedient and eager to please as dogs. You will find he hopefully calms with age, but he will always have a mind of his own (and may not want to stay on your shoulder then either!--plus he'll be too big anyway!)
