Help! Aggravated with tail whipping!

How can I stop my iguana from hitting me with her tail? I have tried everything to tame her, handling several small periods during the day, slow movements in her cage, etc! Nothing seems to work and it is getting to the point where I am afraid to put my hands in her cage to feed her. I wear long sleeves to alleviate some of the pain, but she has one STRONG tail! I need help! Thank you, Lindsay
