My adults get 1/2 of a nutri-grain bar or 1/2 slice of 9 or 12 grain bread mixed with their food once a week. I would stick with the 9 or 12 grain and make it a very small portion of the over all diet. I don't know your vet, but I do know that a diet with substantial amounts of bread, esp. white bread, is an unhealthy one!
