I had been researching for about a month to two months about Iggy's See we had gotten one at a pet store about 5 years ago it died within 3 days to a week. We decided Never again. Well about 6 months ago we saw a HUGE one at another store, it wasnt the type you would bye a collar from let alone a pet, We had just happend on it when we were walking around bored went in to look and I left feeling Sorry for the poor animals there. ANYWAY not only did my husband (who SWEARS I have a zoo now LOL) started talking about them but I to started thinking about one. I heard a story about a 2 to 3 year old iggy who had be abused to the point of deaths door and who was "recovered" but still had some problems. Well I was calling around about prices for babies when I heard this story of "rupert". About a week and half later I couldnt get him out of my mind we went to JUST CHECK, I didnt feel I was knowledgeable about a "rescue" iggy to handle one. Well it was love at first sight the day I checked on him he came home. Long story short I know he is was eatting I was able to give him a good loving home. I will hopefully be able to make up for her first part of life and make life better, She has (BTW found out hes not a he but a she LOL) bonded with me wonderfully loves to set on my head climbs up me, plays all the time with me, is a wonderful friend. I would suggest you look into either a "rescue" adoption, look for someone who cant handle theres , you can still get a fairly young one to but you know they are at least gettign a better home with you. WIch ever way you decided Good luck and hope you find just the right little one for you.
: Would it be better to start off with a small baby iguana when you decide you want one?
