I recently picked up an iguana here in Ohio from a girl who didn't know how big iguanas get. She had poor Greensleeves (4 years old) in a 20 gallon tank, and apparently the ig had not been eating well.
I've had Greensleeves for a couple of weeks. I was worried, as she didn't poop for the first week I had her, even though she was eating more than any other of the 4 igs I have! But now she is more active, pooping regularly, and getting a little more personality. I think she is going to be just fine!
The best part is, I already have found a permanent home for her. My mom has been looking to adopt and iguana for months, but we couldn't find one here in Ohio. Just when she was about to give up, along came Greensleeves!
PS . . . To all who rescue and rehabilitate iguanas, keep up the good work.
