My first initial intention was to freeze them for a month, but she eats so much that I am lucky for the 2 gallon size zip lock bags (full to the top), to last me 2-3 weeks. I go out on pay day, buy at least 8-10 different things, including mustard greens, collards, kale, escarole, green beans, peas, squash, dandelion greens, mushrooms (occasionaly), carrots (once in awhile), spinach (small amounts), okra and whatever else looks appetizing for her...lol Than I come home, wash them good, chop them up good, takes about 2 hours for that project. Than I mix it well, and put it in gallon size ziploc freezer bags, and I usually fill 2 completely and a little in the 3rd bag. It lasts me approximately 3 weeks and it doesnt get too soggy. Depending on how wet the chopped leafs are when I freeze them. I try to wrap and pat them dry before I place them in the ziploc bags, that sometimes helps! Either way my ig likes it!!! She pigs out on it, whether frozen or fresh! Frozen is MUCH more convenient, but I am worried about that one vitamin, Thiamin, B1. If anyone knows about whether or not I have to replace it with a supplement and whether or not it is safe, please let me know. Thank you Lindsay
