Concerning Lizzy's cage, I'm still in the process of finding the best way to build a higher basking spot for Lizzy. I know she is not as close to the light as she need to be YET. But my research seems to conclude that she needs to be 18-24" from her UVB lights. Now if there's something I've missed understood or you have reasons to think she needs to be closer, please let me know. I only have my iguana's best interest at heart. Concerning size I gave her as much space as I could allow. I have two boys who sacrificed about a third of their gameroom for the cause. I might add that Liz free roams a great deal each day. She also swim for about an hour each day. She gets plenty of exercise. It's not like she never gets out. As to her basking lights, the way it's set up, she has two areas to enjoy. The temperature is an ideal 80-92 degrees. Isn't the purpose of the basking lights to give her heat?? I do not claim to be an expert on iguanas. I visit this sight to gain knowledge and to have a laugh or two now and then. I certainly am not looking for an argument, just insight. Thanks for your opinions.
Penny
