Currently, there are 5 iguanas in my house. 2 males and 3 females. It takes a lot of space to make sure the males never see each other, and that all the igs have enough space and don't get agressive towards each other. My conclusion is that all igs have their own personalities reguardless of sex. One of our females is very agressive, one is sweet as can be, and one doesn't like to be handled by anyone except me. One male is calm almost all the time, while the other throws tantrums on a regular basis. I think the main considerations are whether you want to deal with the possibility of a female becoming egg bound.
