This is just an observation on my part, please remember that this is not my enclsoure. That being said .... many folks prefer to have a "furniture quality" enclosure for their iguanas that will fit right into any home decor. Coated hardware cloth/pvc coated mesh, etc. while it may have practicle applications, isn't exactly nice to look at. I believe that Penny said they are not finished with the enclosure and that they are still in the process of adding basking spots and climbing things. As for the size, it is 4'x6'x4', sure it could be taller but sometimes there have to be compromises. That doesn't mean it's right, it just means that sometimes we have to make hard choices -I don't know why that measurement was chosen but there may have been some reason (as in that is what would fit in the space they had, etc.) When we set about building enclosures here, we found that we could go no taller than 6' or we couldn't get it through any door in our house (old houses have smaller doorways). We even took measurements with the trim removed from the door caseings and that is the tallest we could go. We were also restricted as to width of the cage and could make it no more than 3'.

Overall I think it's still a nice enclosure, sure, there are things that could be changed but that can be said of anything. She has all the heat, humidity and lighting requirements met to a tee.
