In Reply to: Zoe has a vet appt... posted by Kimberley on March 08, 2001 at 19:30:04:
: Well - I met a woman at work (very nice woman) who has a male ig. She recommended a vet in the area who does herps & has 5 igs of her own... SO - on my lunch hour I went there & talked to them. They seemed very nice & I made an appt for Zoe to go there on Saturday morning. FINALLY I will get a vet to look at those black scars & do a fecal exam. I also have to get her examined to see why she isnt eating, isnt pooping, is VERY anrgy & shows belly discomfort. I dont know if she is gravid or constipated.
: Last night after her bath (she passed urates but no poops) I let her free roam as normal. She has normally been hanging out on us or the sofa... last night she went behind the water bed (where its dark & cool) and wouldnt come out...! It took awhile to get her out. Other times she has gone back there, explored & came right out. Even after we took her out from behind there & blocked it off with pillows - she kept trying to get back there. (thats not normal for her)
: I am anxious to get an answer & I really hope this turns out to be a good vet.
: The vet I had taken Stone to, who is a WONDERFUL man & a WONDERFUL vet - but I dont think he knows all there is to know about igs... I think he is more of a mammal vet than reptile. So - my dog & cat can see him still - but not my reptile. Wish me luck & I will give all of you the update Saturday afternoon. Please keep your digits crossed for Zoe.
: Thanks!!!!
: Kimberley
