Like xta said, they'll be the ones training you!
Iguana's have a primitive brain... Hard to beleive with their little tricks and surprises, but true.
*Lets not tell them that we know, or I'll get some major attitude from "Tarzan the Terrible" for underestimating his intilect :)*
Back to the subject:
Some iguana's do learn their names, but rarely. And even more rarely do they come when called. They're the little brats of the reptilian world. "They get pampered, while we slave over a salad all day" lol. If they don't get their way, you'll get one upset lizard, and trust me... they hold grudges! I have a poop story involving a pillow and revenge under my belt, lol.
OK, enough of my rambling! The point is, like xta said (oh look! I'm an echo!) if you would like an obedient pet, get an animal. If you want a wonderful, beautiful, and facianting, if not pissy at times animal... get an iguana. :)
Stick with a routine... handle him/her for about an hour a day, the longer the better. Let it sit on your head... I know my little goblin likes to do that.
ACK! I'm rambling again... THE POINT: IMPOSSIBLE TO TAME AN IGUANA. POSSIBLE TO EARN THEIR TRUST... WITH LONG HOURS OF SCRATCHES, PATIENCE, ENDURANCE, AND LOVE.
I'm done now, I swear! :)
