His cage is large enough, assuming he get's out for exercise. He's fed 5-7 days a week all he can eat.
The heat gradient is beautiful. I even regularly buy plants for him to maul, just for his enjoyment.
I'm not a creep- believe me- a 9 year old ig didn't get 9 years from neglect!
There have been no changes in anything, and his strength/tone, health is what looks to me, an experienced herper- fine.
I wouldn't put him down and I said that. Walk in my shoes before a slam- I'm looking for a hand.
: >> Here's his setup:
: - foot long, 5' high, 2.5' wide
: - uv, and 2 spotlights
: -always water, and food nearly everyday<<
: you have an adult iguana who's possibly 5' long in a cage that small??? his svl (his *body*) is probably longer than the smallest dimension of his cage ... not to mention that 96 degrees is getting on the uncomfortably warm side to have the entire cage set at ... AND you don't even feed him everyday????
: i don't care if he's had this same enclosure for years and has *seemed* happy in it ~ it sounds more like a coffin than an enclosure for an animal you care about ... and IMHO, he is angry + depressed for a darned good reason ...
: just my 2 cents ...
