: : She made out just fine! For those who haven't been following this saga, they amupated a portion of her tail today. She had dried gangrene. Now it's all uphill. We can remove the bandage in 24 hours. She's a little ticked off tonight so we are just going to put her to bed. It will be okay to start feeding her again in the morning. We can't bath her for a few days (but spritzing is okay). They took an Xray and that looked fine. They took a blood sample to send to Tufts. The fecal sample I had given to them when she was first seen was negative. We are to give her four more injections of antibiotics. She is to go back there in two weeks for a check-up. She gained a little weight (3 grams). The bill was $281.50. By the way Jeff, my vet DID call your vet and she was happy we suggested that to her. Thanks for the help! Thanks to everyone for helping to make me feel better about Lucy's tail. I really was worried. I feel much better now. Russell.
