Hi Marissa,

I wanted to thank you for pointing this out as I had meant to update that list a short while ago but with all the reptiles (sheesh, I would never have thought how many burmese and crocodilians there are in the are!) coming through the program, that was unfortunately pushed off to the wayside.

We had compiled that list about 2 years ago in conjunction with several vets in the region and all of them had stated that figs are potentially toxic. We have done some more research ourselves lately and it seems that in fact they are quite nutritious to iguanas and no one has had a problem with them as far as I am aware.

I will be removing figs from the list with the next upload either today or tomorrow. Figs can in fact be fed sparingly (keeping in mind the Ca:P ratio) so sorry to have confused and scared you! But thank you for bringing this up for attention!

As a side note, how is Roxy doing?

Candy
