I feed Roxy alfalfa hay. But I shake the bag a million times and sprinkle all the dust on her food about two times a week. She doesn't like to eat any form of pellets really...but I would think if you really broke down the pellet with liquid until it is dust almost then you could mix it in really well with the food.
