When my Iggy was just a small pup, my kitty happened to snatch her off the windowsill, while I was admiring the ig. To my surprise the iguana was across the room with 2 punchured ears before I got her back. Although it was the Kittys nature, he started experiencing loud yelling directed towards him whenever he was in close vicinity of the Ig. Now that the ig is as big as the kitty, She has no fear of this natural preditor. The Cat stays out of the lizards way.
I would like to believe that the cat has learned it's lesson with lizards, but It's the nature of the beast-
I've heard the horror stories- and the stories of Kittys and Iguanas napping together.
Remember all animals have natural instincts- sometimes they show up more than other times...
Don't leave your preditor alone with it's potential prey, really... use your brain.
