: I must agree that I probably got suckered into the whole UVHEAT lightbulb, but I must say that it works very well for my iguana. I bought this bulb so I didn't have to buy the flourescent fixture and bulbs considering that I already had the ceramic dome. About the color change, I was never expecting her color to be more vibrant considering she was bright green anyway. I didn't want a glow-in-the -dark iguana. :P Seriously though, I am sure that if an iguana was not as green due to malnutrion, any proper light will increase their color vibrancy. The same as with overall health. "You can't fix what is not broken." Since you are using the Uvheat bulbs, are you still using the tubes? You are making my gears spin that I wasted my money. I have talked to a very reputable herpetological dealer in Philadelphia at Raducal Reptiles (he has a website), and he swears buy the UVHEAT. He was the guy who sent me to the website. He has all of his iguanas and bearded dragons on these lights. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
yes i still use 2 24 inch 5,0 iguana tubes with the active uv heat bulb. my iguana is fed collard greens mustard greens occasionally kale squash zuccinni bannas cantaloupe mango figs snowpeas escarole he gets vitamins and calcium sprinkled on food everyday besides. you use the lighting and heating you prefer and can afford mike
