Tammy - I used to think that heatig lights at night were ok. Until I got a CHE lamp for Zoe.
I see that she sleeps much better than Stone.
Stone wakes up during the night & seems restless. He also seeks out the darker area of his enclosure to rest. I have a red light on him at night right now but as soon as I can get up the extra dough I am getting him a CHE too.
If you HAVE to go w/ a light though - I would choose black as the red seems too bright. Actually, the red light wakes me up at night sometimes too...
