As for what to do, well my opinion would be to run it maybe a few hours a day during your iguana's main basking time. Then I'd shut it off and just run CHE's. If these UVactive bulbs put out as much as they say they do, then you only need to run them a few hours. With the possible dangers involved with operating them, while you're around the fixture, I wouldn't chance it. Also, since you already have CHE's, you don't have to purchase anything else and I believe the UVactive unit would give your iguana the needed UV's in just a few hours.
