In Reply to: Is there a definate start and stop to shedding or... posted by Russell Cindi on February 25, 2001 at 18:34:07:
I think that Tarzan's defiante shedding interval is about 4 DAYS! He drivers me nuts, he usually starts with the head... but sometimes his back... I dunno... its all mixed up! You know that thing about iguana's and routine? bah!he has no routine, he just sheds whenever he sees it'll make me the most annoyed! lol. He's shedding right now... and boy oh boy.... what a mess!
Idon't think that there IS a start or a stop. It's a constant cycle, and as the IG's get older, and the growing process slows, the intervals between the actual shed part of the cycle, in which the outer skin cells are still large enough for the body... well, the time during the not-shedding gets longer... but there is no definate start and stop, because all igs are different, and have diff. cycles, skin types, are diff. sizes, etc.
LOL, oh look! I've rambled again!
