i use plastic mesh that's got about 1/2" square holes ... it holds up *very* well and is a zillion times easier to work with than wire mesh ... also safer than wire mesh (for humon AND iggy) as it doesn't have any sharp edges ... can get a roll of it at prob'ly any hardware store and prob'ly at places that have garden shops like wal-mart, etc ... the color *black* is actually the most "invisible" on the finished project ...

as far as food ~ *whew* ... igs are notorious for being picky ~ not just *what* you feed them, but *how* it looks too! iZ *insists* that his vegies be sliced thin, and preferably in longish strips instead of little round pieces (like with the zucchini ~ he won't eat it if it's *round*!!!!) ... and he will NOT eat it if i cheat and grate it! nope nope nope ... must carefully make long thin slices out of everything ... (yeah, he's spoiled rotten! *grin*) ... he doesn't like "baby food" on his plate cuz he's a BIG boy!!! LOL ... he also gets upset + won't eat if i put "too many" vegies in with his greens for too many meals in a row ~ he's gotten pretty good at picking out the offending vegies and throwing them on the floor ... or if he's *really* po'd at me, knocking the entire plate to the floor ...

and yes, he's got me pretty well-trained ...
