hiya! well- i know a vet who's had lots of success with pedialyte, anyway. it's got electrolytes necessary to help rehydrate at the very least. i've done it (successfully) with a needle-less syringe. the ig sticks his tongue out and gets a drop of cherry flavored pedialyte. mmmm! yummy! this beats water... he says! till he's rehydrated, then i wean him off it (doesn't want water then...) you have to be careful about "force-feeding" because they'll inhale it instead and aspirate. they have to be in "drink-mode".
that's my experience, anyway.
