Is it normal

My Fiance's nad I show our iguana, Carla Tate, unconditional love and feed her the best of fresh food. We pet her and hold her for hours at a time while also giving her time to free roam out of her cage. She is very healthy. The only major problem we are expereincing is that she runs away from us when we come up to her. Is this normal. She doesn't cone to us when we call her name. Can someone please give us some hints. She was purschases as a hatchling in September 2000. Email me or post it her. Thanks a bunch
