Well I was like you afraid to "adopt" an iggy. Afraid that there would be Major problems and he would have things I couldnt handle. Well I didnt go through an adoption but I went to the pet store (one of the few good ones) and ended up bringing home a 2 to 3 yr old iggy, who they rescued a year before from someone who treated it so badly , they took it to the vet and the vet wasnt sure if it would live or not. They had him for about a year and his medical conditions cleared up. I hear his story the week before he was up for sale, I couldnt get him off my mind and went to check on him, NOT TO BUY, well he came home, we werent preparid cage setup at all, I threw together a temp, cage for the night ran to the store got a few basics. Double D is not the tamest of iggy's yet, but hes well working on it, he is the cutest with a great personality and I swear he has his own way of communicating and he KNOWS we saved him and will give him a good life, THe vet has said he will live a LONG happy life.
: well i am planning on buliding a bigger cage,,,,,but idont know about adopting...onething, i would like to raise my own.....another thing is i want it to be tame and holdible.....if i adopted an older one dont uthink theres a reason its beinggiven away? well i have a 125 gallon 6 foot long tank which i would startitout in, well please teach meabout adopting...thx discented
