First im no expert, im still learning alot. I dont think I would go with canned as they usually have some sort of sugar content, and you never know what they have added to them. Congrats on becoming an iguana lover :o). Do you have the UVB lighting and basking lights for him/her. Make sure you start out with lots of greens in his diets. If you introduce your dog and iggy now with CAREFUL supervision now while he is young when you have a four foot or bigger iggy they should be okay as long as they are use to each other when he is little.

: I just bought an Iguana. He is just a baby and the sweetest little thing. I spoil him rotten. Right now I only feed him fresh fruit and veggies. Can I feed him canned fruit once in awhile?
