is this a seasonal thing? (i seem to have mating season on the mind, along with all the igs!) i think Brian's post about the color is right on .... iZ totally freaks out if i wear red shirts and will cross the room to attack me .... (good thing my fav color is blue)
when he starts to act too aggressive or runs towards you to attack, you can respond by getting bigger yourself (stand tall, arms out, etc.) and talk loud at him .... i've HISSED back at iZ a couple times and THAT also works .... it's speaking their language .... we are still bigger than them (and don't have to let them know we think THEY'd win the fight .....!)
have you tried the "towel suggestion"? some igs will "mate" with a rolled up towel and that helps relieve their frustraion (for a while)
