you NEED to see an iguana vet NOW and get a medical opinion and treatment for the bites!!!
i am also guessing stress ... most iguanas get stressed out at seeing the reflection of themselves ~ he doesn't realize it's himself, he thinks it's an intruder ... he will keep charging the glass until he's convinced that he has chased "the intruder" away ... the stress from being unable to do that, *could* be the reason he is biting himself ... it is also very possibly a *number* of other things the HD listed for you ... get to a vet and in the meantime, figure out a way to cover the glass so it doesn't reflect ...
