The problem might bee to COLOR of your shoes, Ive read about the problem in the T-REX - book about green iguanas, in the book the problem is called "peculiar dislikes" in your case the shoes or its color, in the book its hats, blue, fluffy ones. It might not bee the color of your shoes, but shoes in general, is it only one couple of shoes that triggers your ig?. Ive only read about this problem, but I hope my answer can help you!!.
