And, nice of you to publicly thank Mr. & Mrs. D. I think I can speak for everyone on the forum when I say that we do hope you are able to adopt/purchase the iguana. Its truly hard to stand and watch helplessly, which you have during all of this. We're pulling for you and hope you get her.

As you all know from "Mr. D", the matter of the Petco Iguana is being resolved nicely. Looks like Petco has to adopt her out, and that they weren't supposed to have a instore iguana afterall.

: I may have raised awareness in this case, and started the ball rolling, but the real credit for getting the iguana out of the horrible living conditions she is living in goes to Mr. D. He stepped in when I came to what I thought was a dead end and did a wonderful job in getting in touch with those at the corporate levels of Petco--those who could actually take action in this situation. I want to publicly thank both him and Ig Chick for their involvement with the Petco Iguana, and for their time and attention.
: To those of you who may be new to this forum, know that when you see a message posted by either of these two people, you can rest assured it's sound, good, information. They both really know their stuff!

: Anyway, I just wanted to say THANK YOU to them, and also to ALL of you who showed support while we were trying to get the female Iguana out of Petco's tiny, dirty cage, and into a loving home.

: We don't know yet, where she'll end up, but we're going to do our best to see that she gets into a great home. I'm quite fond of the little girl (in case you couldn't tell from all my posts on here during the last month or so!) and so I'm hoping I'll at least get to foster her for a while. I don't think that my set-up or financial situation will allow for a second Ignana, (I only have one cage, and can't afford another right now) so IF I do get the chance to adopt her from Petco, I may need to hear from some of you who would be willing to give her a great home.

: Last month, I spoke to Christy in Alabama, and she said she really wanted her, so I'll try to get in touch with her again.
: If nothing materializes there, I will need more options. Again, this is all IF I am the one Petco decides to give the iguana to. We'll have to see at this point. Plus, I may fall so much more in love with her that I won't give her up for nothin!

: Anyway, thanks again, to all of you. We did it! Now there's one less sickly iguana who has to live our her captive life in sub-acceptable conditions. Proof that getting involved even when it's not convienient/comfortable can really make a difference.

: Here's to many more happy endings....
: Diana and "Habib" -- who might be getting a green sister soon!
