: Hello, Carol. It is normal for Igs to lose the bright green color as they age. Having said that, a change in color that happens quickly is a red flag that something may be amiss. If you suspect there is a problem, you should get the ig to the vet as soon as possible. Please answer a few questions: How warm do you keep his environment? Does he have access to UVB light? Does he have access to a basking light? What is his diet? How large is his enclosure? How high is the humidity in his enclosure?
: Sorry for all the questions, but helping you is only possible with some additional info. Once again, this board is no substitute for a vet. If this color change has happened rapidly, or he seems different in any way, GET HIM TO THE VET. Igs can sicken and die very rapidly. They may seem fine today, and be very sick tomorrow.
