if he's only 15, i assume he lives with his parents .... could you maybe talk to them and explain your concerns????? i know this can feel very uncomfortable if you're his friend ... but on the other hand, (from a parent's point of view) they do have a right to know what kind of pet is going to be brought into their house and what a high maintenence pet it is ..... and sometimes, you just have to give up and say a little prayer for the ig and walk away from the situation because you've tried your best .... it sucks, but short of beating sense into people, i haven't come up with a better idea ... yet .... i currently work with not one, but two women who both have the saddest, sickliest igs i've seen since i rescued iZ .... they both think their igs are just fine and as happy as can be ..... you can't give people advise or teach them if they're not willing to even listen .....
