as far as what to do ~ i wash all injuries out with antibacterial soap and then apply some triple antibiotic ointment ... since iZ is a *big boy* now, some of his scratches can be pretty nasty ~ for anything that's more than just a *very slight scratch* (including bites) i wash it with soap, SCRUB it out with Betadine and then put antibiotic ointment on it (or in the case of the aforementioned CHOMP ~ Betadine ointment on it) ... with slight scratches, i don't cover them ~ nastier wounds, i usually put a dressing on for the 1st 24 hrs only and then leave it open to air to heal ...
