You may find that they warm up to the idea after a long time (could be a couple years). Sleestack actually seems to enjoy it sometimes-- especially in the winter. He used to hate it quite a bit as well. I think they are all fearful of it until they get used to the process and maybe find some enjoyment eventually. Hopefully this will be the case with yours. Make sure you don't run the water while they are in there if they are so spooked already-- this has really been known to get an ig freaked out!
: Oh yes, bathing the babies is fun for all...
: Everyone says "igs love water, you must soak them every day"
: I've alway thought that even though every ig I have thrashes about in the 1" of water like it was the end of the world, evenually they would grow to like it! I was so nieve....
: Come bath time, one iggy will stand on his tippy toes with wide eyes, staring at me with this look of terror. It's sibling will play dead under the water with his eyes closed. But when I get scared and take him out of the water, he opens his eyes and starts climbing on my arm. But as soon as I lower him back in, he'll close his eyes and go stiff. Isn't this like what they do when they experience ultimate terror? Poor guy!
: My third ig is really aggressive all the time, and very high 'n mighty, and doesn't like to be held, but when he goes into the tub, it's another story. He puts his fan away, and looks around with big eyes, keeping one hand grasping my finger the whole time, just like a little kid!
: I always feel bad when I have to let them soak, because they hate it so much! Oh well...
