You should get an automatic timer-- can get them for $5. I have a couple and I am so sorry I waited so many years to get them! It doesn't seem like a big deal, but it's great-- especially if you want to sleep in late or get home late. My last iguana would get very angry if I didn't turn on his lights very early in the morning even on the weekend!
