I usually don't cut Sleestack's that often, but I suppose you can cut them every week as long as you don't cut the quick. My own arms tell ME when nail clipping is over due--LOL! He's not a big fan of getting his nails clipped and likes to yank his appendage away at the second I'm pushing down on the clippers--ahhhh!

: Hi - When I got Zoe on Sunday, I cut the sharp tips of her nails. Her previous owner had her for 5 - 6 years & never cut them. They are so long that they bend around & her toes are permanently curled to the side deformed...
: My ? is - how often can I cut them? I am hoping (like I had to do w/ my dog) that if I can cut them often, then eventually I will be able to cut them back a little at a time to make the length of the remaining nail the proper size for her.
: I know that in dogs, if you cut them every week or so when they are over grown, the "quick" will grow back a bit so you can trim them shorter. Does it work this way in igs too?
: Please advise......
: THANKS :)
