I just try to use the same caution I would if I had a human child. (although all my kids have four legs!) When I get sick, I still have to feed everybody, including some who could possibly catch what I have. (Dog, Horses, etc.) I wash my hands BEFORE handling them or their food, so I do not expose them, then of course after. I try not to breathe on them, and I probably do not snuggle up to them or give kisses like I would if healthy, but I still can carry my ig to the tub and clean his enclosure.
: Okay I need to know Will I make Double D Sick??? I have the start of the flu (as well as the other humans in the house). I know its possilbe for our furry babies (I have seen it happen first hand) catching a cold from us. Is this something I need to worry about with Double D??? I just started feeling bad yesterday so I fed, and watered him talked to him from a distance, didnt breath on him or pet him. Do I need to worry?? We got the leash and he seemed to love his first time out on the floor but I also dont want to make him sick. Should I wait till we are over this or will he be okay?? Also Can ANYONE post pics of there enclosures for the big iggy's?? I want to get some ideas for building one ourselves for when Double D gets bigger. Thanks all, its appreciated. We are defintly captivated bye this little green guy :o).
