as Ig Chick has stated......so far I haven't heard anything that suggest a firm medical statement on what is wrong with this iguana, so WHY should anyone talk about putting the iguana down until the problem is pin pointed???? I just don't get it. It could just be, that this female is just moody over the developement of eggs....as some people who have females can testify to, females can be very moody during this time. Heck, we have one that doesn't eat have the time, during this time.
If I may suggest, don't focus on the past outside freeze event. But instead, just look at the present problems, list them, then go down the list and try to associate each one with something that is a known medical problem. If anything has to do with diet, cage, husbandry, temperatures, etc.. adjust these things and monitor your iguana for the next week or so. If this doesn't change what's going on, go back and check these off the list of possilbe things wrong and focus on the next possible thing.
Unless my Vet (who's very good with iguanas) tells me that there's really no hope for treating my iguana FROM a medical problem he has found, I will not even consider putting any of my iguanas down. If he doesn't know, I'd lay money on it that it's something that is not all, that life threatening to my iguana and I'm just not seeing or understanding what's going on.
This is just my opinion, take it or leave it.
