I had the same problem. Finally I went to the largest chain gardening centre..and they said they had it. Drove all the way there, and they handed me a kale plant. I said, "Uh-- that's Kale!" and they tried to tell me it is also called collard greens. They looked it up in their big fat horticultural book to prove it to me, and sure enough - there it was with the caption "Collard Greens - see Kale". Can you believe it??? I said to them look at the picture..they don't even look similar!! D-uhh!! So don't let anyone tell you the same thing. I did eventually find collard greens in a health food store. The people there laughed pretty hard, then sold me some collard green seeds to take to the garden centre. Which of course I did!!
