I made a harness myself:

I used leather, a hook(like the end of a dog/cat leash), some twine, although you can use whatever material you want, and some buttons, and a "circle thingy" to hook the leash on. Here's a pic, its not too good, but it gives you an idea of what it looks like. Make sure that the holes for the legs are big enough for growth and for the harness to move about a bit with out restricting his movement.
