instead of a heating pad, i use one of those 'old fashioned' hot-water bottles to keep iZ warm in the pet carrier ... chances are, the vet's office will have a microwave and you can warm it back up before the return trip ... *Always Be Careful + Check How Warm/Hot It Is Before Putting It With Your Ig!!!!*

if you're traveling just you + Lucy, i'd recommend *not* trying to just wrap her in a blankie ... there's always that remote chance that she's gonna startle/freak out on ya while you're going down the highway (that happened with me + iZ with hubby driving ... talk about pulling off the highway Quickly .... )

iZ is 5' long and he rides in a pet carrier that's about 18" x 30" x 18" high ... yeah, he's gotta curl up in there, but he actually curls up smaller (tighter?) than that when he's out roaming the house + decides to nap ... ANYway ... he's plenty comfortable for the road-trip and more importantly, he's *Safe* ... (+ so are the humons!) ...

pre-heat the car and throw a blankie over the top of the carrier before you go outside ... actually ... if you leave the blankie on top of the carrier so it's dark in there, Lucy may just nap the whole way ...

let us know how it goes!
Bon. + iZ (i am NOT going to the doctor humommy!)
