: To avoid confustion, i am so sorry to hear about your loss to George these little ones can get into your heart immediatly.

: Hi George,
: I am so sorry to hear about your loss! No, it is not silly to want to have an autopsy done, it could help out alot! I'm just going by guess, but I would say that parasites or ticks killed him. Or it could possibly be that he was fed a poor diet at the pet store or by his previous owner. If you haven't already, you should tell the pet store about it. I think you should have the autopsy done that way you will know for sure what happened to him. Keep me posted. Good luck!

: : 2 weeks ago i saw the most tame and peaceful looking iguana at a reptile store, he was 3yrs old. I was a complete stranger to him and he let me pick him and he would just climb on my shoulder and stay there, i ended buying him and and building another cage for pumba (pumba wasnt too happy with all this). That night i pulled a red tick off of him and it seemed to turn into a nightly tradition. 2 week was the soonest vet app. i could get. I have handled him a few times this week and he just seemed too tame for an iguna, i mean i have had this new iguana for days and he hasnt tail whipped me yet, it seemed too good to be true, , even yesterday, he was on my lap and climbed under my arm and up to my shoulder. as nice as it was it worried me. these past few days he has been very lethargic.i came home tonight from work and he was on the bottom of his cage, i have had many igs in this cage and none of them have ever been just laying on the bottom by their food, it scared me, i went to pick him and he was cold and wouldnt move, i didnt know what to do, i held a heat lamp fairly close to him and and it was then i realized he was already gone. I am begining to think he was sick when i bought him. what do you all think could of been wrong with him, i have raised other igs in the same cage, same temp conditions and they r now healthy as possible, i read about bad kidneys, could that be it or even the bugs i found on him. i know this sounds silly but i want an autopsy on him. When i bought him they said he had only been there 3 weeks, i am thinking some worthless jack... dumped him off because he was sick. What could have been wrong with him and how can i disinfect the cage he was in. Thank you all for reading this.
