Well as I mentioned I have three daughters, 5,4, and 2 years old, my husband and I have been married for 7 years going on 8. We have two dogs, Grizzly a german shepard/wolfe who I took at 4 weeks as the "owners" of the mom was loading them to go to the pound, Grizzly is almost 7 yr old, and is male. Shadow is a 3 yr old pomeranan that we got 1 1/2 years ago from a "breeder" who couldnt breed him or sell him. Our dutch male bunny fluffy is 10 months old I again purchased him from a "breeder" for 5.00 after seeing the barn conditions he was living in he had to come home, he is indoor bun. Then our Guniea pig is 5 months old and I purchased her at a local pet store, Gizmo is her name. As for introducing my zoo to Double D we havent yet figured it would be to stressfull, all though he did get to see our big grizzly boy, who is a sweety and any animal that has came into the house (my kids for that matter to) he has immediatly taken to them cared for them and NEVER showed agression, all though DD was sure Grizzly was going to eat him, after putting grizzly out of my bedroom DD was so happy like I saved him from beign eatten it was funny. We will give him more time before stressing him out by meeting the crew. With the girls he likes to have them rub his head, he has even take to when I pet his head to close his eyes, Im taking this as a sign of trust???? Thanks for the warm welcome and the great compliments, it makes me feel like I really was more prepaird after all of eveyones help. Ill be around for years to come now LOL. ANd yes I just saw him and immediatly decided he had to come home.

: FYI, folks, Christy is one of the FEW new ig owners that has done the amount of research that she has. She was pretty much up to speed with the rest of us and wasn't *planning* on getting an ig until the plans for her new house were finalized (I'm trying not to jinx it Christy...;))at which time she would dedicate a room to the new ig. I wish every new owner was like this.
: Well, you all know how it works, you walk in somewhere and see somebody who needs help and the next thing you know they're sitting on your head waiting to go home with you. Christy has been trying to decide whether or not she was educationally prepared take a "rescue" as a 1st ig. Guess that decision was made for her....LOL
