With a nesting site that an iguana is completely happy with they will lay all at once.
However, they are picky, so a lot of the time the illusion is of laying over time.
Last year, Phaedra laid 42 eggs all in succession. This year I made the mistake of changing her laying medium. Last year it was good ol' dirt, no extra heating on the box. This year I went with the suggested route and had sand, in a heated box. She laid 38 eggs this year, but it took her 10 days to do it. Also, I noticed that even though she was weaker (A LOT) after the 2 hour laying, she bounced back faster from the one hard event, than days of smaller easier ones.
