Most people here agree with your opinions regarding iguanas as pets and respect your decision NOT to sell iguanas at your store. I wish more people would not sell them. However, you should keep the dogfood away from your ig. Harry's Dad is right-- it is YOUR responsibility. Spinach is not a great food either. Collards, mustard greens, escarole, watercress, dandelion, squashes, sweet potato, and a little fruit like melon & berries are all great foods for your AL. I am glad to hear you feel responsible enough to keep your iguana instead of tossing him by the wayside when he got big. Sometimes I wonder if Sleestack will be my last iguana as well because they are so much work.

: Yes he does at times eat dog food, and it is a habbit he doesnt seem to want to break.I hand feed him a variety of fresh greens (collards, spinnich, ect.) and fruits lightly. The whole dog food thing is a habbit of his own creation.

: As far as the rep store goes I did not carry iggies.I felt their were many methods for people to aquire them without me adding to the overpopulation of them on the local trade.

: Like I stated to begin with I am shure many people can find things wrong with the way al is kept, but I must also ad that he is well taken care of, vet checked, and happy.

: I made my statements because I am trying to warn other people of the responsibilities that iggies create.I shurely wasnt prepared to take care of al when I first got him, and
: at times wish I would have never got him at all, but I have made things work as best I can and feel that the situation could be much worse.

: : : you ran a reptile speciality store and have dealt with many reptiles?
: : : And your Iguana eats Dog Food?????

: : : what's up with that?
