I don't think it's odd at all that she sat still on hubby's lap. Baby sat on my lap all the way up to Raleigh and back (hubby drove) last September and seemed to really enjoy it. (a couple of times people in other cars noticed him sitting on me and it was quite comical seeing their reaction!)
Now that he's grown an additional five inches and he's matured so much more, I don't know if we'll get so lucky. Guess we'll find out this summer if we ever get to go to a Pig-nic somewhere, huh? *snicker*
